Access and participation

Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 8, 2026

Our commitment

Dainty Ever After Creative wants its website, workshops, and community information to be welcoming and usable for as many people as possible.

We are working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a continuing goal, not a claim that every page or experience has been independently certified.

What the site supports

  • A skip link and semantic page structure
  • Keyboard access to navigation, links, buttons, and forms
  • Visible focus indicators
  • Descriptive headings and labels
  • Alternative text where an image adds meaning
  • Layouts that adapt to mobile, tablet, zoom, and larger text
  • Reduced motion preferences where supported by the browser

Ongoing work

Accessibility is reviewed during website updates. Automated checks can find some barriers, but they do not replace keyboard testing, assistive technology testing, or feedback from people with disabilities.

Some third-party websites, social media platforms, email applications, and older files may not offer the same level of accessibility as this site. We will provide a reasonable alternative when we can.

Known limitations

The site has not yet completed an independent WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit. Areas that may need more review include colour contrast in small secondary text, image descriptions, keyboard and screen-reader behaviour across current browsers, text resizing and zoom, and content provided through third-party platforms.

Reported barriers will be prioritized based on impact, feasibility, and the needs of the person affected.

Improvement approach

Accessibility improvements will be made during regular website and content updates.

  • During each update: review headings, links, labels, alternative text, keyboard access, focus visibility, contrast, and mobile reflow.
  • Periodically: run automated checks and manually test representative pages with a keyboard, browser zoom, reduced motion, and available assistive technology.
  • When a barrier is reported: investigate it promptly and offer an alternate format or access method where reasonably possible.
  • During larger site reviews: retest shared templates and update this statement with confirmed findings and completed improvements.

Request an accessible format

If you need information in another format or need an accommodation to participate in a workshop, tell us what would help. We will work with you to identify a suitable option.

For workshop or content support, email [email protected]. For a website accessibility problem, email [email protected].

Please include the page address, a short description of the problem, the device or assistive technology you were using if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format you prefer.

Standards and guidance

Our direction is informed by W3C accessibility guidance and the Government of Ontario’s information about accessible websites under the AODA.
